"Process Excellence [which includes Six Sigma] has been an important
contributor to productivity efforts that have helped us to eliminate
more than $5 billion in costs over the past five years."
Ralph Larssen, CEO, Johnson & Johnson
Six Sigma is a powerful set of statistical and management tools
and methodologies that can create dramatic increases in customer
satisfaction, productivity and profits. It is based on improving
and controlling processes and reducing variability. It can also be
a great way to improve organization and cultural development!
The Six Sigma approach has been used with great success in
leading companies such as GE, Johnson and Johnson, and Allied
Signal. It was first implemented at Motorola, but received
international acclaim when Jack Welch at GE began touting it
as the approach that would save GE billions of dollars.
In 1999 alone, GE saved $2 billion using Six Sigma principles.
The rest is history.
FasTrak Network has been using six sigma tools ever since
our inception in 1989.
We are well versed in all the six sigma tools and
inherently use them in all our projects. All of our test bench
testing and dimensional inspections use statistically based
sampling plans. Testing programs are structured around
experimental designs and all process development efforts
are flowcharted and diagrammed and where necessary, failure
modes effects analysis are completed. Our choice of
software to support these six sigma projects is Statistica
by Statsoft. Read about our experiences under
